Ethics and the Society

The government is investing millions of Pounds and awful lot of time to tackle promotion of excessive alcohol consumption, but sadly some unethical organisations like the International Student House (ISH) take advantage of public trust and the government’s favour.  However, thanks to responsible individuals in various governmental departments this big issue is set to be managed and controlled by taking any irresponsible alcohol consumption extremely seriously to favour the public and the youth society.

It seems unethical organisations (including International Students House – ISH) selling cigarettes to youths as well as underage individuals have no choice than follow the news RULES; something they have fought for years and challenged. Now the new government regulations CHALLENGE them [unethical organisations, such as International Students House – ISH].

International Students House – ISH – is amongst just a few unethical organisations practicing “charitable activities” but in reality greedier than businesses.  International Students House – ISH – have placed number of cigarette vending machines in all its premises under no supervision. Westminster Fair Trade Office had a surprise visit to the “charity” in 229 Great Portland Street in London and forced the charity to act slightly more “ethical” by placing the vending machine somewhere the purchasing behaviour can be monitored; however how they are responsive to this is another debate.

Public is now wiser than ever and have no interests in any organisations aim to deceive them, regardless of even being a charity; as there is now enough evidence around us to judge some charities are unfortunately not doing what they suppose to do.  It is the time to reveal their names and let the public know about unethical organisations; this may make them to reconsider their unethical activities and harming the society.

The government is doing what they can to tackle such unethical activities; but as far as unethical people are in charge of organisations, it is quite difficult to help situations such as underage smoking and drinking as well as all upsetting consequences as a result of smoking and drinking.

The great news of removing cigarette vending machines and cigarettes from displays is what should have be announced long time ago due to the fact that not all organisations (including International Students House – ISH) are reliable and worth trusting. Such organisations say something but act completely differently. Is there any fairness and justice then?

International Student House (ISH) failed to communicate with the public honestly and mis-used their data, as a result complaints against them were filed to Advertising Standard Authority (ASA). Now this charity is on the complaint list of ASA which is widely available to the public FREE of Charge.

International Student House (ISH) also asked their residents to fill in a survey and return it to ISH (hope they are not planning mis-use this data :) ). ISH promised a trip to Istanbul as prize to one person (the winner of the draw), in order to increase number of correspondence.

The winner of this prize draw required visa to go to Istanbul and this gave trouble to ISH’s so called marketing team and they simply crossed out the name of the winner and selected another person to go to the trip (someone who doesn’t need to obtain a visa).

What is this called in reality? Anything other than discrimination and lack of management competent?

Below is the email sent by the “charity” sales and marketing manager to the person who chose the “winner”:

We have a bit of a problem with the winner – he needs a visa and he is unlikely to get that in time!! SO you are going to have to pick a runner up babe (who doesn’t need a visa) – He is going to check with the embassy today but it is unlikely that he will get it so don’t let anyone else know but you might want to start thinking about someone else!

Operations tip to the so called charity organisation

We do not understand when ISH wants to learn about management and not begging this Blog to teach them about appropriate marketing. Anyway the best advice to them is change management – however we are not sure if they are familiar with the term! But thanks to Google and for their information other search engines such as Yahoo! :) the term “change management” can be learnt. However books are still strongly advised to them to read unless they lack competent to digest the business terms used by authors.

Although they have nothing to offer to the public we wish them luck!

And again international student house (ISH)

It is surprising to see International Student House (ISH) actually understand the term “shame” and “binge drinking”. As a result of this blog, Westminster Fair Trade Office made International Student House (ISH) to reposition their cigarette vending machines and hopefully NOT letting under age girls get into their ISH-BAR ;) Pictures are available which can be published and given to relevant authorities for further investigation. However the world now is aware of unethical behaviour of International Student House (ISH) “charitable activities” :P .

By the way, good luck to Tanya and David ;) in their non-sense so called management and suing this effective Blog – which informed many universities andinstitutions and importantly Westminster Fair Trade Office to save the public and encourage the “charity”, International Student House (ISH) to consider ethics and cultural values - you are just telling your real names and your IP addresses mach those threatening and abusive comments you made couple months ago with “misleading names”.

We can see you are still learning and God knows when you want to take care of your so called charity which actually take inappropriate directions for survival.

To see it for yourselves that International Student House (ISH) is not compiled with the Charity Commission set of rules (because of promoting alcohol and placing cigarette vending machines in areas which are easy to access by youths and importantly under age individuals – vulnerable members of public – as well as offensive pictures and text used by the charity (ISH) for “promotion” purposes which indeed mis-educate and mislead the youths society), please visit the charity-commission website and the sumarry of public benefit. International Student House (ISH) is harming the society and through its irresponsible marketing and management strategies. Their lack of ethical and CSR awareness is costing our youths and their future; therefore appropriate actions should be taken to save lives of thousands… Not caring about what ISH is doing allow further misconduct from youths for which they wrongly been criticised by many. Youths are in a sense are victims of vultures alike International Student House (ISH).

WE NEED TO SAVE OUR YOUTHS AND STOP UNETHICAL ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HOUSE (ISH) TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM AND MISLEAD AND MISEDUCATE THEM.

I am gone off-ISH and fight for my essence (being gone off-ISH), my aim is to ruin
this so called healthy lifestyle.
Remember that I’m 1 of the 5 although I am gone off-ISH. This belief makes me to
achieve what I want to achieve (messing up your stomach).
Although I don’t understand anything about planning and strategy my next task is to ruin
the other 4 :P

There are many proofs of my aim, i.e by selling cigarette and alcohol to youths and

under aged (i.e. the 17 year olds in the ISH Bar couple months ago ;) ). Wow!!!

I have more in the pipeline to ruin dignity this is the ultimate aim at gone off-ISH.

Take a further look at inside the gone off-ISH:

ISH

P.S. first readers of this post were right after having this posted from International Student House (ISH) offices – thanks to Google Alert ;) but you better learn about management and strategy development first and second and third and last.

ISH enjoys making contineous mistakes and learn nothing

Incapable International Student House’s Management board came up with an idea of using dressing as guerrilla and attract “customers” :D :D :D :D :D It is a laugh that they think they conducted guerrilla marketing. For allowing this incapable and irresponsible charity learn something, they are strongly advised to seek help from experts and qualified marketers rather than coming up with silly ideas and make people laugh ;)

International Student House (ISH) sends out unsolicited emails to individuals however they have been reported to relevant authorities. This charity organisation manipulated the facts however out of desperation apologise from members of public they sent unsolicited emails to. Due to such information this Blog provide the public International Student House (ISH) want to sue this Blog – however pictures of the teenager in ISHBar is available to be presented to the court should it be necessary as well as the CCTV footage (which deleting the footage itself is going to have consequences).

International Student House (ISH) places number of washing machines in its premises which are not working properly – leave stains on clothes which god knows who designed the shape of the stains (I’m sure you know what I mean). Funnily enough you need to pay for this service which this irresponsible and unethical charity provides to its residents whom are students – and have hard earned cash!!!

This is a new technique of rubbery which International Student House (ISH) is expert of – surely they can add consultancy to their “business” portfolio in this regard J

Money is even more vital to this unethical charity organisation than to for profit businesses. Clearly being a charity is a good way for them to rip off innocent public namely students.

Drinking aware AND NOT DRINKING UNDER AGE as well as reducing smoking by teenagers which are all have severe consequences in long-term are in central attention of the UK government; BUT sadly some organisations such as International Student House (ISH) cares more about generating profits – although they are a so called “non-for-profit” or “charity” organisation.

As a result of the awareness this blog created for key stakeholders, ISH spent couple of pounds to print stickers to stick to their unethically positioned cigarettevending machines in their halls of residents and outside their in-house bar (in which girls under age of 17 years old can easily enter and probably purchase alcohol due to lack of demanding ID cards from students but actually source of revenue for ISH). Students are treated by this organisation as just a customer with no ethical considerations UNFORTUNATELY.

Is there any justice to stop such activities by such organisations like International Student House (ISH)?

If such organisations are persecuted smaller shops and off-licenses will learn to act according to set rules by the government too. This charity ISH, is getting away with its unethical strategies just because it is registered as charity. This should not be any reason to not being criticised and penalised.

Publications which this charity issue contains some offensive and irresponsible statements. You can see some examples of them here and here.

This Blog revealed the truth behind this irresponsible organisation which always have taken advantage of the public trust and deceived the nation under the title of charity for purely increasing salary and bonuses of “managers”.

P.S. David Chapman, Albert Jonas and Dina O’rearden are people working in International Studnet House (ISH) or probably the same person as the IP address of these “three” people are the same and the contents are very similar when it comes to strategic content analysis (therefore there is enough evidence to suggest ”management” team of this unethical and irresponsible organisation is :D :) ). However, I do not know what this irresponsible organisation with its incapable management team thought of, when decided to send these meaningless emails (actually their “research is similar to their responds to this strategic Blog).

Sadly, organisations such as this unethical charity (ISH) take advantage of the public trust and government courtesy towards “charities”. International Student House (ISH) is also hiring meeting rooms (which are not really quite due to noise and lack of ISH management ability to control such noise when they have guests in these rooms). ISH also has a separate site on which they promote their events; BUT IN ORDER TO SEE THIS SITE ONE IS FORCED ,BY THIS UNETHICAL CHARITY (ISH), TO REGISTER BEFORE EXPLORING THE SITE.  This is not acceptable by proper marketers and strategic managers. However after publication of this Blog ISH added another button to the site but excluded its “brilliant information about events, gigs, cheap tickets, free lectures, free cinema, sports & fitness classes, ISHBar events, 229 tickets offers, art workshops, photographic competitions, free cultural event information…:D

God knows what kind of cultural information they mean; common sense suggests smoking and binge drinking culture is all International Student House (ISH) has to offer to current vulnerable youth society, which the government has been fighting about and parents have problems with. All want to eliminate this so called culture; but International Student House’s (ISH) business is upon this bad cultureand its management board try so HARD to keep up this culture :( although as a result of this Blog local government was involved and International Student House (ISH) was forced to reposition the place of cigarette vending machine they had in operations at their 229 Great Portland Street premises and feel just a bit responsible and stick a sticker which says about over 18 should buy use the machine AND I assume that they assumed under 18 will be afraid of suing the machine when they see the machine is available and NO BODY supervise their behaviour – very unethical of International Student House (ISH). If under 18 are able to go International Student House (ISH) Bar and most likely consume alcohol, one can tell how irresponsible and unethical is this so called “charity” International Student House (ISH). Therefore, please think twice about irresponsible International Student House (ISH) who is harming our society and clearly encourage youths for misconduct in many of its product promotions.

There are still a lot for ISH’s managers to learn – ISH’s non manager staff are more likely to have better clue about the business due to common sense and other skills they have.  They are probably not managers yet because they were not given the chance by mean organisations like International Student House (ISH).

It is totally unacceptable that International Student house (ISH)  acting not fairly according to business law and importantly practicing against the British Code of Advertising and Sales Promotions. This indicates that marketing and operations departments of this unethical and irresponsible organisation have no clue about appropriate strategy. Needless to say that this “charity” organisation has been damaging some cultural values of many nationalities; but they have been hidden behind and taking advantage of their “registered charity” organisation title. This does not mean anything than attempting to manipulate the truth by this irresponsible charity organisation. However I hope this unethical organisation now learned about the existence of the term “British Code of Advertising and Sales Promotion.” (This can be googled too) :P

Unethical activities and irresponsible marketing campaigns of this organisation was criticised by many student advisers from number of UK universities in recent meeting of AISA (association for international student advisers).

Thus, what public should think of such organisation? And what the government should do?

Funny enough this unethical organisation has links with universities for internships :P Poor those students who get internship with this unethical organisation, who dreams of getting “work experience” but they learn nothing but wating time and working for CHEAP for this irresponsible organisation. Operations of this irresponsible organisation (ISH) seems to me like talent and knowledge exploitation (which is worse than labour abuse and exploitation).

Thanks to all of you care about your society and dropped me emails. As you all know I did my best to get back to you as soon as I read your emails. I appreciate your comments and would like to invite to raise such issues and write about unethical organisations such as our clear example. Below are a few pictures from what International Students House (ISH) calls “marketing”; although this unethical and irresponsible organisation has a lot to learn about marketing. This is due to lack of appropriate managerial decision making and strategic planning. This referred by many of you who know International Students House (ISH) as “childish” management.

It is just a shame that this charity does not consider ethical standards, presumably for financial reasons. This indicates that International Students House (ISH) has been in a crisis like, but lack of its strategic management and understanding from stakeholders’ relations context forced this organisation to not realised this. However they are aware that the public is AWARE.

Unethical marketing by International Students House (ISH)

Many of you are marketing experts and raised great issues with International Students House (ISH) and its marketing strategy.  As far as my research shows there is no strategy within this “charity registered organisation”, since they apparently do not know basic differences between for-profit and “non-for-profit” marketing strategy. They are RESPONSIBLE for being against the EU and UK youths staying at this irresponsible charity organistion. Their so called ”charitable” intention is a question for International Students House (ISH) to answer the public; because their operations imply otherwise. An example of unwanted sent out emails has been explained to those of you asked. I share your concerns about how unethical and irresponsible, this charity collects personal details including email addresses. As long as those of you who just sent me emails remain quiet such irresponsible organisations act unethical. Let’s get one voice and take the action which benefits our society and children!

The public MUST not be deceived and your support has proved this already. When International Students House (ISH) is going to accept its faults and apologise from the public and the government in a professional manner?

International Student House (ISH) not only acting unethically but also it is encouraging youths to experience sex, smoke and consume junk food away from parents in its halls of residence. These stimulating series of words are chosen irresponsibly and building a wrong culture and self-justification of this unethical charity is meaningless. International Students House (ISH) needs to be overseen by relevant regulators particularly that this so called “charity” is promoting binge drinking and sex between youths. There is enough evidence against this unethical and irresponsible charity organisation if regulators and the media look for them; limited examples are provided on this site.

20082007001.jpg The ultimate effort of smoking ban is discouraging by many organisations, such as International Student House (ISH) by allowing cigarette vending machines in operations within its halls of residence; where hundreds of students from all over the world staying over nights and days. They accommodate youths in their properties but unfortunately do not consider their health properly. Moreover, there are couple unhealthy snack vending machines in operation too ;)

Who is checking those youths’ ID when they are purchasing Cigarettes from vending machines?

Youths from different countries need to be taught about culture and values of this country. They need to be told how harmful smoking is, rather than facilitating the process of buying cigarettes, particularly in which situation there is no mature control over their behaviour; since they see being alone or in a group of friends as an opportunity to try many exotic and sometimes dangerous things. Some of those youths are extremely vulnerable, thus generating revenue and increasing profit out off them seems against social responsibilities norms. After 09:00 pm many of foreign youths are sitting outside International Students House (ISH) halls of residence in Regents Park and smoking cigarettes; a few of them look really under 16 year old. These cigarette vending machines can be even used by local children who are under 16 year old when they need to buy cigarettes.

International Students House (ISH) also promotes alcoholic drinks to those who stay in its halls of residence or visit their bar and cafe by using picture of celebrities with words which in a way promote binge drink.

26082007004.jpg Surprising enough this unthical and irresponisble charity organisation is not bothered to care about what it is publishing and sending out to students to read. Importantly, it does not deem to be any permission in place from any of those celebrities they use in their in-house advertising.

According to this “print ad”, International Students House (ISH) sells alcohol in its bar CHEAPER than a bottle of water in its “restaurant”, which is in a dark depressing basement. But the bar is well-lit and even cleaner than the restaurant. Normally its staff get their food from the restaurant in the basement and take it to bar to eat. The reason is obvious!

International Students House (ISH) is simply encourages sex and binge drinking amongst youths, in midst of days that the EU and UK governments and families fighting to teach dignity and self respect to youths; in order to enhance cultural values and keep the society in order. Therefore, International Students House (ISH) causes conflicts in the society and mis-educates the vulnerable public. Needless to say that cheap drinks at this place benefit International Students House (ISH). Below are a few pictures International Students House (ISH) has used in their publications.

10112007001.jpg This not very responsible “charity” organisation has now problem of losing customers for their conference venues and try every loop to get more customers and cover the costs they create. For example spending £000’s on something which makes the public to think how a “charity” organisation can dare to manipulate and attempt to evolve the truth.

Please be aware of such organisations when making any business partnership decisions. A wrong decision may cost you a lot including your reputation and publicity. For instance, this profit-minded charity organisation is sending UNWANTED emails to addressees whom are NOT subscribed with this unethical and irresponsible charity organisation.
